Happy New Year!

I don't know about the rest of you but I'm ready to get back on my regular schedule and I think my kids are as well. We have definitely enjoyed staying in our PJ's and relaxing a little longer than usual in the mornings. And all the fun activities over the holidays have been a blast. Everyone is always in such a good mood and all of the decorations are so beautiful. But now I'm ready to "hit it hard" and get back to my work outs, healthy eating, and our regular routine!!

S'Mores in December!

We decided to take the kids to Huntington Beach to hang out and roast s'mores over the fire. We made sure to get there before dark so we could get the fire lit and so the kids could play. I love where we live because we are soooo close to the beautiful beaches!!
Ben and Summer had so much fun sliding down this little embankment....aaaah the simple things in life.
Time to make the S'mores and enjoy the warmth of the fire!

Ben loved to just burn the heck out of the marshmellows. He said, "mommy, this is the best fire game EVER." We took turns so that we could make the marshmallows last as long as possible.

We had so much fun and my kids even lasted about 2 hours before they were ready to go. Not bad for a 2 year old and a 4 year old!

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas!!! Oh my goodness, Christmas is so much fun when you are around two little kids. Their eyes were as big as saucers when they walked into the living room and saw that Santa had eaten the cookies and left lots of presents. Ben was so excited to check out his stocking.... Summer was way too distracted by her play kitchen to even think about what was inside her stocking.

After a while the kids starting opening their gifts. It was so much fun because they would open a gift, play with it for a while and then open a new one and repeat. This made it to where Christmas morning lasted for hours.....which was so enjoyable!

More present unwrapping and playing...
Brian received this gift from his brother but Summer immediately took a liking to it and wore it around for a very long time.

Christmas Continued...

More Christmas Fun! Ben & Summer both like Madagascar and Ben likes to name us after the characters. He is always Alex the Lion, I'm Melman the giraffe, Summer is Gloria the hippo and Brian is Marty the zebra. Brian will call from work sometimes and talk to "Alex". So Ben was very excited to get this movie for Christmas!!

Growing up we used to set out all of our Christmas presents and then have a picture taken so we could remember everything we received. Miss Wiggle Queen was tricky to get a good picture of and Ben's toys were spread all over the place so we didn't even try with him! Maybe this won't be one of my family traditions....
Summer loves her Daddy's new hat.

Mormor and Pa gave Abby a nice big chewy bone for Christmas so she is in heaven!

Awww, what a handsome husband! Merry Christmas to everyone!
