I've Been Tagged!

Becky tagged me to post the 4th picture in my 4th album and this is it. Awwwww....little baby Summer when she was so sweet and couldn't move around and get into mischief.

4th of July - 2008

Happy 4th of July!! I made Jaime's Fancy Strawberry Cake and it turned out great! Yum!
I made cupcakes for the kids out of the extra batter so they wouldn't have to wait until dinner to enjoy the yumminess!
Ben sure loves his cupcakes! An easy way to bring a smile to both their faces.
We invited our neighbors over for a BBQ on the 4th. After we after we ate we went out in the front and enjoyed the evening by watching the kids play and lighting off some fireworks.

4th of July continued

Ben, Brian and Mark playing the guitar. Summer felt this was the perfect opportunity to sneak off and try to ride Ben's bike.

Fireworks! We had some of our own and then after the kids went to bed we went on the roof to watch all of the fireworks in our area. The county club in our neighborhood has a big show so we watched that as well as fireworks from Disneyland, Huntington Pier and other shows in the area.


This is where Ben watched the fireworks (in the house). Summer liked to watch as long as I was holding her.

Fair - 4th of July Weekend

We went to the Orange County fairgrounds to check out the swapmeet and go on some of the rides.

Ben loved to go down the big slide with his dad! It was sooo hot that we went home and gave Summer a bath to cool off because she was so sweaty and dirty!

Irvine Park - 4th of July Weekend

We headed toIrvine Park over the 4th of July weekend.

We had fun feeding the ducks, playing in the park and goofing around.

Horse Ride at Irvine Park - 4th of July Weekend

Summer and I spent a lot of time trying to get the horses to come over to us so we could pet them.

Ben was the lucky one who actually got to go for the Pony ride. I'm too big and Summer is too small...rats!

Zoo at Irvine Park - July 4th Weekend 2008

Irvine Park has a small zoo with lots of fun animals to check out.
Ben loves to sit up on the fence and watch them.

Summer is running to go check out the bear....we lucked out because the zookeeper came by and was able to coax the bear out of the cave so we could see him!
