Flag Ceremony

We started out the day of the retirement party by going to a flag raising ceremony. At the ceremony my dad was presented with a flag that was flown over the military base. It was really neat to watch. After 40 years of work on base (with 3 patents and one pending) it was great to help make the day special for my dad.

Here's another:

The kids were more interested in the rocks.....but I was able to get a good shot of the two of them smiling together!

The flag raising was fun. I didn't even mind getting up early for it. Remember when the horn blew and all the kids started crying? It was neat to see Dad being presented with the flag and share the day with him.
