Summer & Peyton

I don't get many pictures of Summer and Peyton so thought these were cute. They have known each other since they were 6 months old!!

Weekend Getaway to San Diego

We headed off to San Diego for 2 nights....Gordon let us stay at his place while he was out of town. This is how Summer rolls when she gets in the car (above).
And cute little Benny is bright eyed and bushy tailed with the famous question: "ARe we there yet?" every 5 minutes.
We spent time at the pool, at the beach and also visited Kristie and her kids.
We love spending time with Ryan and Jake. Jake was at his Dad's so this time around we spent time with Ryan.
Summer loved having Ryan read her books. She was in heaven! It was a nice little weekend away.

First Day of School

Back to Kindergarten we go - this time Ben's teacher is Mrs Snow. No shared teaching this year - Thank Goodness!
My little Eader Eagle. The school is in Huntington Beach about 1 mile from our house and about 1/2 a mile to the beach.
I think this is going to be a great year for Ben.
Hanging out on the rainbow rug.

Summer Turns FOUR!!!

Happy Birthday to my little girl! I can't believe she is four! I can't imagine life without her fiesty personality, blonde pigtails, dimples, big blue eyes, love for animals and love for her family.
We had a small family party this year. We wanted to do a park party but all of her friends are back in school at different dates so it was impossible to find a date that worked. Next year I will try to plan a party at the beginning of August!! We still had a fabulous time.
Lots of presents, a big pink (messy) cake and yummy ice cream.
This was the year of "Ariel" for Summer. She loves the little mermaid so we gave her a new lunch box, an Ariel dress and an Ariel doll.
She told us she already plans to be Ariel for Halloween. No surprise there! She loves princesses right now but is especially into Ariel. Happy Birthday to my little mermaid.

Park Day

We had a big park day. First we went to Irvine park and played on the equipment and let the kids ride the horses. They let the horses trot which surprisingly enough Ben really loved and Summer really did NOT love.
Lots of trees at this park make it a nice place to go on a hot day!
Next we stopped at Henry's and grabbed some yummy deli sandwhiches.
And then off to Castle Park to play and eat our lunch.

Farewell to Mormor & Pa

Mormor and Pa are off to Sweden for 1 1/2 years so we all headed to Ridgecrest to say good bye.
Great opportunity for a photo op with all of the grandkids:
I love this picture of Ben, he looks so sweet....and I love the picture of Callie up to mischief.
We went on train rides, went to John's pizza and just had fun spending time together.
We ALL stayed at Mormor & Pa's. I don't know the head count but it was ALOT. And we made it work and all had fun. My kids thought it was great to have one big slumber party.

"Pa"

While everyone was busy packing up their cars I took a few quick minutes to take some pictures of Pa and the kids. We are used to seeing Mormor and Pa on a pretty regular basis so it is especially hard for us to say good bye knowing we won't see them for a year and a half!
