Another one of those lucky moments for Summer...she was able to open the fridge all by herself. She decided she needed a morning snack so took the cheese out of the fridge and took a huge bite out of it. And then she went to the snack drawer and opened up some chips. I heard the crackling of the chip bag so that is when I went to see what was happening.

The Carousel - November 2008
Irvine Park - November 2008
We love Irvine Park! We went with a group of our friends to spend a couple of hours exploring. They have a cool train (see below), a duck pond, pony rides, and even a small zoo.
Summer loved this little weird looking horse type thing. Not actually sure what it is but she sure loved it!
Hanging Out - November 2008
The kids think it's so cool to build forts with the couch cushions so we do that every once in a while. Ben was multi tasking by hanging out in his fort while controlling his electric train.
Ben - November 2008
In order to enter kindegarten the students need to know their letters, numbers, colors and how to write their name. Ben knows all of his letters, numbers and colors so now he is practicing like crazy with writing his name.
Here's Ben at his last soccor game of the season. His very favorite part of the game is running through the tunnel at the end. He is third from back to the picture on the left. Notice his little skip hop at the end at the picture on the right.

Happy Halloween - October 2008
We started out our Halloween at Ben's school where they held a costume parade. Ben was a red bug this year (thank you to Becky for giving us the costume....a hand me down from Cater). Everyone loved the costume and Ben won the prize for best costume for all of the pre-K and Kindegarten students. This is a picture of him with his teacher whom he loves!
At lunch time Summer and I went back to Ben's school to join in the halloween party.
Halloween continued....October 2008
We talked about Halloween for all day (and for weeks prior) so the kids were READY to go!!!
Oh my gosh! Trying to get these two to stand still for a quick shot was pretty much impossible. Probably because: A) they are 2 and 4 and it's just not a toddlers nature to stand still; B) they were more than ready to get going on the trick or treating; and C) who knows how much candy and cookies they already had in their little systems!!!
Summer loved to say "meow" and when people would say, "take as much candy as you would like" she would shovel it into her bag until I would intervene. Ben was polite and just took one and was off to the next house!

Ben poured all of his candy out on his high chair tray and started to dig in. I then realized that he really did think he was going to just sit there and eat ALL of it, one after the other. Luckily he was a good sport about putting it away after he was able to talk me into letting him eat 4 pieces (since he's 4 years old).
