June 2008 - Bernardus Winery

The next morning we were treated to an amazing buffet with cook to order omelette's and then we were whisked away to Bernardus Winery. We were given a tour of the vineyards and facilities and treated to a fabulous lunch. They had an awesome cheese tray to start things out (I'm a HUGE fan of cheese trays...the fancier the cheese, the better). The weather was perfect so we were able to eat outdoors and just enjoy the day.

June 2008 - Bernardus Lodge

Next we headed to Bernardus Lodge in Carmel Valley. Brian's company really did a great job on spoiling everyone at the event. The rooms were great! We had a cocktail hour with delicous appetizers and then a 4 course meal with wine pairing. The chef cooked right in the room (off to the side) so we could see what he was doing. The food was absolutely amazing!!

June 2008 - My Birthday Weekend!!

We went up to Carmel Valley for a fun work event through Brian's work. It happened to fall over my birthday weekend so instead of spending one night we decided to spend the whole weekend up in the area.

First we stopped by Pebble Beach and enjoyed the beautiful views. What a gorgeous area! The water is such an amazing shade of blue. We had a good time walking along the beach, watching the surfers and just having a nice relaxing "kid free" moment.

We HAD to celebrate Ben's birthday while Grandma and Pa Weber were in town. We decided to have a BBQ and lots of cupcakes - Yum!


Ben is a very big fan of cupcakes so he was in heaven.

Grandma and Pa Weber came to visit. Summer & Ben were both fascinated by the sewing machine. Clearly I don't know how to use one as they acted as if they had never seen one before (I'm certain they have although it wasn't me using it....but have I mentioned I can bake??).

Just Chill'in with her buddies. Summer picks out 2-3 stuffed animals or critters and carries them with her. Each week she seem sto pick a different crew to hang with.

Happy Birthday Ben!! Ben turned 4 on June 3rd. We had a birthday party at the park for Ben and a couple of his friends. Ben and his best friend Trevor are chatting it up while Summer watches.


Summer is a scavenger. Once all the kids left to play on the playground she went around and polished off their pieces of cake. YUM!! Ben is happy with his one balloon.....all the rest blew away right before the party started!
